Synthesia has raised $200 million in its latest funding round, bringing the company's valuation to $4 billion. The round was led by GV Management Company and included participation from existing investors such as Accel and Sequoia Capital.
Synthesia, headquartered in London, England, United Kingdom, was founded in 2017 by Victor Riparbelli, Lourdes Agapito, Matthias Niessner, and Steffen Tjerrild. In 2023, the company joined the unicorn club. Synthesia plans to use the capital to enhance its enterprise-focused AI video tools, expanding its reach beyond its current stronghold in corporate training to build out more comprehensive tools for marketing, advertising, and internal communications.
